Kate Meets Grandma and Grandpa

Last week we had the pleasure of taking Kate up to Alaska to meet Grandma and Grandpa Darby and Uncles Matthew and Grant. We had a great time visiting and Kate was constantly oo'd and aww'd over, especially by Grandma.

We always enjoy visiting Alaska, not only because the company is great but it is breath taking too. Here are some shots of the sites around Anchorage.

Ready for Take Off

Last Tuesday Kate had her first ride on an airplane, going to visit Grandma and Grandpa Darby in Alaska. She did wonderfully. We only got a few dirty looks.

Our Big Girl

Kate had her 8 week check up last week. Ryan and I have been watching her grow, thinking that she was getting so big, but we found out that she is not quite as huge as we thought. Here are her stats.

9 lbs 1 oz (14th percentile)
21 1/2 in long (23rd percentile)

We love our home

A few weeks ago Ryan and I decided to introduce Kate to beautiful Torrey Pines (just a few minutes north of where we live in La Jolla). This gorgeous hike is on top of the cliffs over looking the vast Pacific Ocean. We absolutely love were we live. We could not be more blessed.

Another great thing about were we live is that we have the Padres. We aren't die hard fans or anything, but we do enjoy going to the games. Kate got to go to her first game a few weeks ago and the Padres actually won. It was an exciting night.

A Blessed Little Girl

Over Memorial Day weekend our little girl was blessed in church by her daddy. It was beautiful. I am so grateful that Ryan has the priesthood and was able to give Kate her baby blessing. Thank you to all of our family and friends who made the trip out to see Kate be blessed. We love you so much!
